Who am I?

For five years, I led Maersk’s research into identifying the optimal fuel mix for decarbonizing its fleet of over 700 vessels – delivering a clear strategic
pathway for the company to follow.
During that process, my team met with 400+ companies, universities and organizations – to gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges related to choosing one fuel type over the other. Covering areas as toxicity, scalability, technical requirements, regulatory issues, sustainability profile, infrastructure needs, production cost and of course – the most challenging part of it all – forecasting future market dynamics for the different low-carbon marine fuels.
Today, I draw on that experience to support investors, fuel producers, and technology developers in understanding and navigating the complex landscape of low-carbon marine fuels.
